A lot of  "Chuck” fans are very unhappy about what’s going on right now. They are not down with this Chuck and Hannah (Kristin Kreuk) business, nor Sarah and Shaw (Brandon Routh). Their displeasure is so acute they actually want to boycott the show until these new people are dispatched and Chuck and Sara are back in their permanent will-they-of-won’t-they state.

"It was not unexpected that people who are into Chuck/Sarah — I refuse to use the word ‘shippers,’ but you can, I just want my objection to that term duly noted on the record — would be not thrilled with the development,” "Chuck” creator Josh Schwartz tells The Star-Ledger’s Alan Sepinwall.

Seriously, people. Do you really want to throw a dramatic temper tantrum about obviously temporary love diversions over a beloved show that was perilously close to not coming back this season?

Frankly, we don’t see it.

While we liked Chuck and Sarah in the beginning, Rachel Bilson’s guest stint kind of changed that and it’s been reinforced with Kreuk this season. Chuck has a special kind of chemistry with the cute little brunettes that seems somehow lacking in his prolonged infatuation with Sarah.

And Shaw, well, come on, underneath that mild-mannered exterior he’s Superman. As Sarah said in Monday’s (Feb. 8) episode, "I have a type.” Shaw is way more in line with her previous boyfried, Bryce Larkin, than Chuck ever will be.

[Editor’s Note: When it was announced yesterday that "Greatest American Hero” is getting the remake treatment for FOX, we thought, "That sounds like a great idea!” Then, we realized, we had that same great idea … precisely 6 years ago.]

ABC’s "V” is the latest in a string of attempts by networks to capitalize on past successes by  reinterpreting them in a new, updated version.

Unfortunately, this ploy has resulted in many more failures than successes. For every "Battlestar Galactica” there are a dozen remakes in the network scrap heaps: "Knight Rider,” "Bionic Woman,” "Fantasy Island,” "The Love Boat: The Next Wave,” and so on.

We can’t help but think that this poor track record is a combination of picking the wrong shows, updating the wrong elements and picking the wrong cast–and we’re willing to put our money where our mouth is.

Join us this week as we take a look at a dozen classic series remakes we’d like to see, how we’d freshen them up for current audiences, and who we’d cast in them.

"Greatest American Hero” (1981)

Original: Aliens give a schoolteacher a suit that gives him super powers. He loses the instruction manual and has to fumble his way through heroic adventures with his FBI agent sidekick.

Although the phrase is nonsense, it does have a long history. The phrase has been used for several centuries by typographers to show the most distinctive features of their fonts. It is used because the letters involved and the letter spacing in those combinations reveal, at their best, the weight, design, and other important features of the typeface.

A 1994 issue of "Before & After" magazine traces "Lorem ipsum ..." to a jumbled Latin version of a passage from de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum, a treatise on the theory of ethics written by Cicero in 45 B.C. The passage "Lorem ipsum ..." is taken from text that reads, "Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit ...," which translates as, "There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain..."

During the 1500s, a printer adapted Cicero's text to develop a page of type samples. Since then, the Latin-like text has been the printing industry's standard for fake, or dummy, text. Before electronic publishing, graphic designers had to mock up layouts by drawing in squiggled lines to indicate text. The advent of self-adhesive sheets preprinted with "Lorem ipsum" gave a more realistic way to indicate where text would go on a page.

Остров, который образовала река Кубань, отделившая от себя огромную петлю, когда-то принадлежал внуку войскового судьи полковнику К. М. Головатому. 15 октября 1869 года он обратился с прошением в Пашковское станичное правление, в котором писал о том, что он числится жителем станицы Мсдведовской, а жительство имеет на отведенном ему участке рядом с юртовой землей станицы Пашковской. И почтенный обер-офицер, обращаясь к станичному обществу, заключал официальное письмо следующими примечательными словами: "Прошу покорно станичное правление предложить общественному сбору составить мнение, согласно ли оно принять меня в число своих граждан...”.

Неизвестно, дождался ли проситель желанного решении пашковцев.
